Achy Breaky Awkward Family Photo Albums
Talk about awkward family Christmas photos. Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray just had a public throw down on twitter that makes the quintessential mullet man and the recent twerker perfect fodder for the most awkward family portraits ever.
Supposedly speaking about her parents impending divorce, Miley Cyrus posted the following on twitter, before quickly deleting it “@billyraycyrus since you won’t reply to my texts I’m giving you an hour to tell the truth or I’ll tell it for you”. As if the holidays and embarrassing family photos are not enough to look forward too, the outspoken Miley has some public commentary on her dads alleged infidelity.
Her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, have been married for 19 years, but it sounds like that is coming to a close. While their marriage is a lifetime compared to most Hollywood couples, it is not the first time that they have tried ending it. Apparently Billy Ray filed for divorce 3 years ago. He later dropped the filing as they seemed to reconcile their marriage.
With that, do we close the door on the awkward family pictures? No, not even close. This twitter drama is a little tame after tracing back the evolution of the darling Disney star from just a few years ago. Before her transition, Miley Cyrus was even on the Time magazine list of the most influential people in the world for 2008. At least that year they probably avoided the awkward family Christmas photos.
But, do Disney teen stars always offer a little celebrity craziness? At her 19th birthday party, held at a posh Los Angeles hotel, Cyrus claimed to be quite the stoner as she referenced her Bob Marley cake. Cue the Visine for those awkard family photos. Later in April 2008, Cyrus had her email hacked only to have some provocative underwear and swimsuit photos released into the blogosphere. Wait for it…cue the awkward family Christmas photos.
It is like an 80s sitcom on repeat to think of Miley Cyrus, the Disney star gone wild, and her daddy with the 80s mullet posing for the most outrageous and awkward family Christmas photos. But, tracking her antics via the celebrity blogs seems to showcase the crazy in that family. Lately, her bleached bob has been making the rounds with her dancing antics. You can almost hear “Achy Breaky Awkward” coming through the airwaves.
All in all though, who does not have any awkward family pics buried in their memories, or scrapbooks, and who are we to say that the Cyrus family takes the cake?
