If you need roof repair, replacement, or maintenance, you need to hire the services of high-quality roofers. However, there is an overwhelming amount of roofing contractors out there. It’s important to do your homework before you make your choice on who to hire.
Location
The first thing you want to check is if the roofers you’re considering are local. You want them to be timely and prompt. Also, hiring a roofer who lives further away may incur extra fees for transportation.
Insurance
You also want to make sure that the roofer is insured. Working over eight feet off of the ground is inherently dangerous, and that’s not taking into account the damage an accident can have on your home. A roofer needs to be insured to protect themselves and your home from costly damage.
Referrals
Ask your family and friends for referrals. They are your most trusted source and can point you in the good direction. If they know a high-quality contractor, you may not even have to look at any others.
Ask the roofer about referrals, too. They should have a list of happy customers who you can speak with to get more details on the services the contractor provides.
