If you want lower energy bills and increased comfort in your home, consider investing in insulated garage door installations. They will keep heat from creeping out of your garage and cold air from coming in. This video will explain the installation process.

The secret to insulated garage doors lies in the materials used to manufacture them. Steel is used inside and out, with a polyurethane membrane with a weather seal in between the panels to keep outside air out and HVAC air flow in your home.

The track needs to be installed first, with a back hang coming last. The door itself is installed in sections, bit by bit. The first section is the one that comes into contact with the ground. The contractors will make sure this sits flush with the ground to completely seal off your garage.

The other sections will be installed after the track is complete, stacked one on top of another. Nylon rollers help reduce the notice of the track, giving the door a nice smooth opening and closing motion.

The tracks will be aligned with the panels after they’re in, and then the end bearings are tightened. A center panel bearing is also installed, and the springs are wound.
